How True is this quote!? |
So, we started off with Ikoyi Club Suya as an appetiser. I can't go to Ikoyi Club and not get Suya, like, that's just wrong. The Suya was DE-LI-CIOUS, very YU-MMI-CIOUS, so FAN-TAS-TIC, THA- BOMB-DI-GGI-DY. I'm sure you get my point that their Suya is Amazeballs and it's really cheap too, only N100 a stick. The chicken is too much, like, you might think I'm overhyping it but I'm not. If you have had their Chicken Suya before and you didn't like it, please a comment below and let's have a chat.
The next stop on our journey was The Scarlet Lodge, I heard about this amazing place from a post on The Soho Sister's blog and thought the background looked beautiful. I love the Ambience there, it's a really quaint, serene and picturesque place. If you have an active imagination like I do, you might feel like you're in Miami or Portugal or somewhere exotic.
I ordered a Mocktail called Honey Moon with Honey (obviously), lime juice and some other good stuff. It was nice, tasted a little bit like that Lemon and Honey mixture your mama gives you when you get a cold.
Our appetiser was Hummus with Lebanese bread. T ordered Beef Peppersoup as his main and I got some Yummy prawn pasta. It was delicious, like I'm smiling as I type this because it was sooo good. Choi, food really affects my mood o and I'm sure I've mentioned on here that I Love Seafood. The presentation was on point too!

This Beautiful Looking Oreo Milkshake is from Bungalow's Restaurant on Akin Adesola and it only cost N1,000 which is pretty decent considering the fact that some restaurants in Nigeria charge exorbitant prices

N.B. Scarlet Lodge is off Zenith Road (Ajose Adeogun), you turn right after Zenith Headquarters and it's a really cute building on the right hand side of the street.
The Staff were great, I have nothing to complain about and there are TV's too for the Football buffs.
We were too full to try out their dessert but if you do go there and try out their dessert, let me know what you think.

I am happy you put up this post. I need to take myself on a treat. I love food. Any ways hope the food at Scarlet lodge is not too expensive?
ReplyDeleteAwww, Yayyy. I'm glad it made you happy :) Lool, yes, you definitely should, I'm Sure you deserve it :D Nahh, it's pretty reasonable to be honest. Everything we had cost less than 8k and the ambience there is amazing, plus there is an option to eat inside if you'll rather do so.
DeleteLess than 8k??? I should start going out, I just want the milkshake.

Yes you definitely should. The pasta was like N3,800, my mocktail was 1k, his drink N500, the hummus N800 and Peppersoup N1,400
DeletePretty decent prices really. Pasta is the one meal I can't eat out!! I make a mean recipe no restaurant can top....hehe
ReplyDeleteYeah, very decent. Ehnehn, would love to try out your pasta one day ;)
ReplyDeleteThat Oreo milkshake makes me want to leave my desk right now and get to Bungalows!
ReplyDeleteDo it, Do it, Do it!!! During your lunch break or after work or at the weekend :)
DeleteI'm not so crazy about food but that milkshake looks very nice.

DeleteI am kinda hungry after looking at those pics.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you broke down the prices. Some people just lump it all together and you have no idea what costs what.
