Like I mentioned in this post, I had a shoot two Sundays ago and it was for Kaymu Fashion Week. It was a very impromptu shoot and the pieces I ordered from their website didn't arrive on time so I ended up wearing an alternative. Tomiwa of Style by Ayaba did my makeup using my products and I think she did a great job, don't you? She styled my hair too and she is a Fashion Designer and PR Girl, Talented someborry. It was her birthday yesterday so Happy Belated Birthday to her.
Shoots are very interesting, like my friend Linguini says, they never go as planned and it's pretty difficult to estimate the timing too. Tomiwa got us Fried Rice and Chicken from Tantalizers which was really delicious. Awon shoot organisers, food and drink is important o, especially if you want to keep the model smiling.
If I knew I was wearing this Kimono, I would have brought clothes from home and styled it completely differently. I brought Accessories and shoes but I had to make do with what I had clotheswise. After a while I wore the Kimono backwards because I wasn't really feeling it the normal way. I think it would have been way cooler if it was longer. I'll probably wear it again and style it my way. How would you wear this kimono? Do you prefer it front to back or back to front?
Kimono and Tank Top: Kaymu
Jeans: Bershka
Heels: A shop on Awolowo Road
Bloggers like Princess Audu and Cassie Daves haves styled their Kimono's in really cool ways here, here, here, here and here, Check them out!
