Restaurant Review: Traffic Bar Lagos

Traffic Bar is a new ish garden spot in ikoyi with live music and a variety of food dishes

I visited the spot for the first time over the weekend as Dede Kuti was performing.
A lot of the tables near the stage were reserved so it took a while before we found a table with a good view
The grounds are quite big with sign posts reflecting different parts of Lagos like Ajegunle, Festac,  Victoria Island & Surulere. They also have a Branch in Abuja which is pretty popular.
The waiter said our food will take 30 minutes but it took about 45/50 minutes for my pasta and an hour for Tola’s goat meat, dodo and fried yam.
I got a Strawberry Daiquiri and it cost N2,500, it was really good, nicely blended, very yummy.
My husband got a Strawberry Daiquiri and then a Long Island, he loved the Daiquiri but wasn’t a fan of the Long Island.
There was a guy walking around with a shirt that said Crepe so we got a Lemon & sugar crepe which was absolutely delicious, it cost N2,000.
My Cesco Pasta finally came and it was worth the wait.
One of the best non tomato based pastas I've ever tried
With jalepenos, red peppers, prawns and olives, it’s definitely made it to my top 3 spots for Seafood Pasta in Lagos.
It cost N6,500 and I would definitely have it again, just wish there were more prawns, it only came with 3.
I like the fact that they have quite a number of pasta dishes, with prices starting from N3,500.
Tola loved his goat meat and the dodo was really good too.
It was grilled and then cubed or maybe even fried, it was sha healthy.
I got the Samosa which cost N2,500, there was no spring rolls available.
Don’t bother getting this, it tasted like the frozen store bought ones and had more dough than fillings.
Plus, it wasn’t plated nicely at all, the plate was too big for the 5 pieces of samosa.
Their POS wasn’t working so we had to do a transfer but we didn’t mind because the live music was really good.
Please note that the prices on the menu do not include taxes
Have you been to traffic before? What did you get? How did you find it?
