A Dinner Party

Hey Guys,

How are you? How was your weekend? Mine was good :)

Expect a post on The Department Film this week, it was really greet to meet one of my active readers at the premiere. If you haven't nominated me for the Nigerian Blog Awards, please do. Nominations end next week and it means A LOT to me, all you've got to do is fill in the nomination form. You can get your friends to fill it in too. Best New Blog (15), Best Lifestyle Blog(18) and one other category.

Do you remember that time I went for a Pancake Party. Well, I went for a dinner party, organised by friend, Aramide at the beginning of the month. It's really random how we met, she had discovered my blog through one of my Bella Naija Articles. We met at a friend's birthday and that's how the friendship was formed. She is a blogger too so check out her blog here.

I love the fact that she put pictures of each guest instead of regular name cards. This picture of me was taken by Tope Horphload sometime last year at The Model Workshop at Ember Creek. I was still new in Lagos sha, now I'm old blood :)

Yummy Zinger Shrimps
Delicious Morrocan Rice
Tomatoes
Lettuce
Chicken and Plantain
A girl from my secondary school has a really cool food blog called Tatashey. She had a really interesting series about Plantain, check it out.
Fruit Sticks
I enjoyed the dinner party and thought it was a great idea. I know Morenike of Lilac Tinted Views organised one sometime last year and it sounded like a delicious event, read about it here. I can't wait till she organises another one, there's nothing like good food. I couldn't take pictures of all the items on the menu for that day as we were all pretty hungry so people rushed at the food when it came out.  Just in case you were wondering, there was meatball sauce, homemade suya, ice-cream and Cake.

SO, have you ever organised a dinner party? Was it stressful planning it and making sure everything ran well? Gist me Gist me, I like to hear stories :)

P.S. There's a new chef in town and he's got a really scrumptious idea cooking, I got a hint of the menu and I can't wait. I might be playing the Sax on that day too so mark the 14th of March in your calendar, it's going to be a Great day.

  1. Since your Pandora post, I have been refreshing your blog for a new post and I was glad when I saw this post. I love the plantain and chicken. I also like the Moroccan Rice. I would have participated in The Department giveaway but I didn't have internet service to participate on Instagram. Anyway, I have marked the 14th of March on my calendar not just because I want to have a taste of the new chef's delicacies but I want to listen to you play sax.
