So my blog turned 1 on the 8th of February 2015. I didn't put a post up as that day did NOT go as planned. I have written a post on the 24 lessons I've learned in my 1 year as a blogger though. It was published on Bella Naija earlier today, check it out here. Hope you learn something from the recap of my experiences.
Remember how one of my goals for the year was to publish an article on another website other than my blog at least once a month. Well, that's February done :) Hope you are making progress with your goals, I want to know how y'all are doing!
It is commonly heard that a problem shared is a problem half solved, well, I feel like a goal shared is a goal quarter fulfilled/accomplished as you never know what resources a person has available to help you achieve your goals.
So, unto how I spent my blog birthday. I went for the Nikon photo class on Friday the 6th and had a number of conversations with people who liked my hair and outfit. One of them had just arrived from Port Harcourt (Chioma/Chicsglow) and she was standing with one of the speakers, Uche James Iroha. Long story short, I was asked to model for a magazine editorial they were working on. It was supposed to be a one day shoot but it took 2 days, Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th. Anyways, like I said in the BN article, networking is key, attend events related to your niche, you never know who you would meet.
Here are a couple of shots that were taken, I wore different outfits so expect consecutive posts with editorial worthy pictures this week :)
I love the yellow eyeshadow, it was my first time having extra lashes on both eyes, those things are heavy o!
Yellow is one of my favourite colours and this dress is actually the dress I wore on my graduation day in July 2013. I'll say it was a great investment, my first dress from Oasis too :)
I tried to change my hair style with each look so let me know what you think too.
Side Profile for the win :)
P.S. I just created a Facebook Page for Tuke's Quest. Please like it and get your friends to like it too :)
Beautiful Hair!

DeleteI was a bit shy to leave my blog link in the comments section at first but then I realised that it's such a great way for people to find your blog so there's no need to shy away from something that will benefit you in the long run.
I'm glad you left your first comment on my blog, I'm going to check your's out!
The first and only time I wore false eyelashes was in my first year at uni for the FOA photo shoot and I thought they were heavy as well. Now, the only thing I put on my eyelashes is mascara
ReplyDeleteLol, me too, but they only put it on one eye.
DeleteGhen! Ghen!! There she goes!!! Soar on hunnie!
ReplyDeleteHehe, Thanks Boo :)
Deleteyou look great... and yay to your blog turning one...Yess girl those lashes are somewhat uncomfortable at first but after a while you sort of get used to them and if you wear one with a thin lash band they feel so natural so you can barely fell them.. Try out Ardell Lashes.

Thanks Tomi :)
DeleteI don't know if I can get used to them o. Those things can be uncomfortable!
I won some lashes from sacred beauty/Lola Maja on insta, will use them one day and let you know how it goes.
What's the best product to cure dandruff??
ReplyDeleteI haven't had to cure dandruff before so I can't speak from experience. However @savvychichairbeautyhub (on Instagram) is running an intense damage be gone treatment program so you can call them on 08090613325 for more info. Their salon is off Awolowo road.
DeleteNature's gentle touch hair institute in VI also offers treatment for dandruff so you can get in touch with either of them for professional advice.
I have gotten my hair done at both Salons and their service is top notch.
Thanks a lot for your response,i stay in benin city and so cannot visit the salons but I will do well to call the number above and I am yet to join instagram.congrats on your one year anniveray
