Busy & Fulfilling Weekend

Hey Guys

How are you? How was your weekend? Who came for Live Your Dreams? Wasn't it Great? I absolutely loved meeting some of my wonderful blog readers and I can't wait till you tell me what has changed in your life because you attended the event :)

If you weren't able to attend it, check out some pictures here, follow @lydafrica on twitter or search for the hashtag #LiveUrDreams and read the tweets. The DVDs are on sale too so if you want to get one send an email to mail@liveyourdreamsafrica.com.
I ended up playing the Sax which wasn't particularly planned. I played last year with Niyi Sax, video here but this year I played by myself.
I got a text from Banky the morning of the event saying I should come along with my Sax. I'm glad I did, got some really encouraging comments and I networked with potential clients. I hope you know this Sax thing isn't just a hobby for me anymore. So if you need music for a wedding (First Dance), Proposal, Birthday, Corporate Event, Small Party, Big Party, etc send an email to tuke_morgan@hotmail.com

Oh yeah, I recorded a little bit of my rehearsal yesterday and decided to put up the video on YouTube.  I did this because I met someone at Live Your Dreams who told me 'Great Job on the Sax, I think I saw a video of you on Instagram playing on your bed'. When he said it, I realised that you never know who is going to watch what you put on the internet so make it worth their while, check out the video here.
You know how the first thing you hear when you go on my blog on a laptop is Trust, well, a 'friend' told me to take it out because it spoils the user experience, do you agree? Another friend said my readers can mute the sound on their laptop or press pause so I should leave it, what's your take on this?

My birthday is exactly 2 weeks away and  a special blog reader said I should make a birthday wishlist post so she knows if there is any thing she can afford. Well, number 1 on my list is that you should register to attend Michael W Smith's first concert in Nigeria which is at 6pm on my birthday, link here, more details here.

My article got published on the Naked Convos for the first time. Check it out here and leave a comment too :)

On Sunday, I went to church then stopped by at Rele Art Gallery for the Opening of the Strip Exibition. Toyosi Faridah Kekere-Ekun, who went to my uni was exhibiting, I mentioned her in this blogpost.

After that, I went to Muson Centre for a free Gospel concert called Worship with Gbenga Adenuga. It was really really good, a very exhilarating experience, I was very impressed. It was well organised, you had to register in advance, small chops were provided at the end and there was a section for children. I know his cousin, Wale Adenuga, as I have seen him in concert once, they have similar voices, strong and soothing. Check out his blog, facebook page, gallery of pictures from the last WWGA and mark down July 12 in your calendar, Muson Centre, 5pm to 8pm, the next #WWGA Concert.

Hope you all had a Great Weekend!

P.S. Check out this interesting article about 20 things every young woman in her 20s should know.

  1. Good to hear you're performing more.. I have to agree a bit with taking out the music.. I absolutely love it but every time you refresh your page the music starts and it can be distracting.

  3. Well done Tuke! You'll def go places. The first time I opened your blog on my laptop, it took me a few seconds to realise where the music was coming from(covers face). I like it, its calm and soothing. It's like a music card but in this case, a music blog lol. I suggest you leave it. If people don't like it they can mute the sound.

  4. Hey cuz. Well done on the progress. I think keep the music player but maybe not on auto play. When I read your blog, I'm normally listening to a podcast or an interview so it's not really feasible for me to just mute my laptop

That blows my mind. I really love what you do. Keep it up and more grace! As for registering for the Michael. W. Smith Concert, I already did as its my church. I hope we could run into each other.
