Ankara from Shakara

 Hey Guys,

How are you? How was your weekend?

Mine was goood :) I feel like it started on Wednesday though as I was out every night from Wednesday to Sunday. I was at Bottles on Wednesday, La Taverna on Thursday, Nike Art Gallery, Vantage & Bay Lounge on Friday, my Aunt's 50th, family friend's engagement and Stranger Lagos on Saturday then Terra Kulture and Maison Farenheit on Sunday.

All these places, only me abi, didn't realise how many places I'd been to until I listed it out. I've been living more in the moment than lugging my camera about with me everywhere. The only time I took pictures were on Friday at the Art Gallery, there will be a post about it on the Fayrouz blog before the week ends but you can catch up on all my other Life of a Yuppie posts here :)
One thing that most of these places have in common is a Live Band. Bottles on Wednesday, La Taverna on Thursday (I played there a couple of weeks ago, video clip is on my IG page), Bay Lounge on Friday (Shuga Band is just too much, have any of you been there on a Friday?) and Maison Farenheit on Sunday (I played there for a bit this Sunday with a really talented Saxophonist called Yomi Sax). Where do you go to when you want to hear Live Music? I know Bheerhugz Cafe at Ikeja City Mall has a Saxophonist on Friday and ss Lounge in VI has Sharp Band on Thursday.

Okay, now back to this look. I was gifted this Anu 3/4 sleeved dress by Shakara, follow them on Instagram, Twitter and Like their Facebook Page too. They have many giveaways planned for you and their ready to wear African Inspired pieces are pretty affordable. Check out their website too as they've got many offers up for grabs at the moment :)
I really like dresses with sleeves and I think this dress will be a hit around Independence day because of the green roses. I paired the dress with a Bow that Aima's gifted to me, my trusty Zara Heels from Kampke and pearls from Primark.
I'm rocking the LA Girls Matte Flat Finish Pigment gloss in Secret which was one of the items I got off my wishlist. I rocked the Rebel one here and I love the staying power of these glosses, expect a review before the month ends and don't forget to get involved in the Cookie Skin Giveaway which ends on the 30th of June.
Have a Great Week!
