Weekend Gist: Long Weekend

Hey Guys :)

How are you? How was your weekend? What did you get up to?

My friend's birthday was on Thursday so we all hung out at Posh Cafe after work. I did a review of it here, it's a pretty interesting spot.

On Friday I got some Music materials from an older saxophonist friend and just had a nice relaxing time with family.

Saturday was B to the U to the S to the Y. First stop was Funto Ibuoye Née Oni's event, Becoming. It was an inspiring and enlightening event for women and I'm glad I was able to make it. Check the hashtag #Becoming on Instagram & Twitter and follow them @thebeautifiednetwork on Instagram and @beautifiedNW on Twitter. I listened to Bola Balogun and Tosyn Bucknor speak and I bumped into a couple of blog readers.

This is shalom, she got her box braids done the day before because of me. I get really excited when people say I inspire them to make certain decisions. She couldn't find colour 33 but she used colour 2, purple and 99j. I had no idea that 99j existed sef.
The girl in glasses is Chinomso, I've met her a number of times in the past. She volunteered for live your dreams Africa because of me and she's got a blog too check it out here.

I caught a picture of Funto, the convener, during the event. We met when I just moved back in 2013, I was a Volunteer at the first edition of Live your dreams and she was on the planning committee. It's really inspiring watching how she's progressed over the years. Follow her on Twitter @funto_i and Instagram @ifunto.

From VI, I went home to change, went for a wedding in Ikeja, stopped home again to change and went for another wedding in Lekki. Didn't get home till almost 12 but I enjoyed every bit of my day and it was nice seeing old friends

On Sunday I rested, didnt do anything that would require too much energy. Yesterday I was on the set of a shoot for ebony life tv. The second day of recording was today and my first single, Trust, was featured Yayy me!!!

I put a couple of pictures on Instagram, check back tomorrow for the full scoop on my look. I did something pretty funky to my hair :)
