A Black Affair

Hey Guys,

Guess who's finally putting up a style post. It's been 4 months since my last one, you guys really loved that Hi Lo Dress, even Bella Naija featured it, hehe :)

There were 2 collaborative style posts in between though, the Independence day one and the one with Abuja Based Bloggers Grace and Sarah.
Anyways, remember how I said I got 3 Black Dresses in this post, well, this is one of them and it only cost N5,000. I realised when I got home and tried it on that it was second hand but it came in really useful as I wore it a couple of days after I got it.
So I wore this dress to an event organised by tastemakers last week
It  was an exclusive dinner organised for wedding professionals and my band provided all the music that night. There are a couple of videos on my youtube channel already :)
I put a clip on Instagram of a model walking in a bridal dress while I played, check it out here.
I love the beading on this dress. It looks like something from Virgos Lounge or V Label
I'm rocking the LA Girl Pigment Gloss that I reviewed here in Rebel
The picture below is my favourite
I took a sneak peek at the pictures and decided to tame my hair a little

Which one do you prefer? Mellow Afro Puff?
Or Wild Afro Puff?
Oh yeah, I was rocking my black strappy sandals from kampke, I wore the peach ones here, remember?
Hope you enjoyed this style post! How are you guys preparing for Christmas?

  1. The wait was worth is cause this dress is everything. It definitely reminds me of something from Virgos Lounge. I would definitely wear this, vintage items are faithful.

  10. I think the dress is GORGEOUS!!!!!!

But when you bought it, did they tell you it was a previously worn dress? Or you assumed it was new?

Either way, it's a beautiful dress and it suits you very well. Perfect for a glam event like the one you played at.

I just assumed it was new but now I know the stall was called Thrifted Threads and they sell vintage items.

It really is beautiful and it was PERFECT for the event, Thanks Berry :)
