Restaurant Review: Mico's House of Chicken & Waffles Lagos

Hey Guys,

So I stopped by at Mico's House of Chicken and Waffles last weekend as I had promised my brother a treat. I also had a meeting with an event planner from America so it was nice to take her somewhere she hadn't been to before.

I reviewed Mico's when they first opened at the beginning of the year. Lamide of Living in Lekki took me there. Check out that post here. They have now moved to a Larger space and have added a couple more items to their menu. They have Self Serve Frozen Yoghurt Machines like Sweet Kiwi too.

So My Brother ordered the 5 piece chicken nugget meal. It came with fries and it cost N1,000.
He also wanted buttermilk pancakes which cost N500.
I got the Cinamon French Toast which cost N350.
A couple of things have changed from the last time I went there e.g. they have a more professional menu
The decor is nicer and there were sprinkles of Christmas everywhere.
By the counter, they have various toppings for Frozen Yoghurt.
On the day we went, they were having power issues so it took over an hour for our food to come out and it didn't even come out complete. The Fries came 30 minutes after the other items.
I wasn't very pleased as at least 3 other groups of people came while I was there, got their food before us and finished eating while we were there waiting in hunger.
I expressed my feelings to the manager and she gave me this Fried Rice on the house. I was supposed to get Frozen Yoghurt on the house too but the light went out so the machine wasn't working.
In terms of taste, the nuggets were delicious & freshly made. The pancakes reminded me of the pack of 6 mini pancakes I used to get from Tesco, the rice was nice but the French Toast wasn't the best. It was soaked in milk for too long and it wasn't crispy enough. Where have you had good French Toast in Lagos?

Have you been to Mico's before? What did you get? How did it taste?

If you want to know my thoughts on their chicken and waffles, check out this post. I've got a review of Ginger Tapas & Grill coming up soon :)

    1. It's directly opposite Jerry's bakery, a bright yellow building a couple of minutes away from ebeano, like 2 minutes away on the ebeano side of the road
