So, I was having a conversation with a friend over the weekend and we got talking about his 5 favourite drinks that are easily available in Lagos. This got me thinking about my 5 Favourite drinks in Lagos and I've compiled a list for you to see. In no particular order:
1) Hollandia Yoghurt: At first, the Strawberry and Blackcurrant flavours were available in the market then it was just the strawberry one. I discovered the apple flavoured one at the Murtala Muhammed Airport last Month. I Love it especially the sour tang it has, I haven't tried the orange one yet but I've seen it around town. Have you tried it?

N100 in most supermarkets and grocery stores |
2) Ribena Strawberry: To me, this flavour beats all the other ones hands down. I know some people swear by the Orange or Pineapple or Plain Old Blackcurrant but I Love this one especially when it's slightly frozen, that slushy like consistency.
N50 at the church at my shop |
3) Fandago: I'm not sure if this is the new name for Tampico but it tastes just like it, very similar to sunny delight in the states. I think I prefer the Citrus one to the Tropical one though.
N120 at shoprite |
4) Mirinda Pineapple: No need for explanation, it just tastes good.
N100 on the road, N95 at Shoprite |
5) Chapman: I Love the one from Ikoyi club, it's the cheapest one I've had too. I've been seeing pictures on Social media of chapman in a bottle called Smoov and it costs N100. There is one in a can too called Yoms but I haven't seen them at any stores yet. Have any of you tried them?

So these are my 5 favourite drinks, what are yours?
i´m a huge fan of the strawberry hollandia. but mango juice does it big time for me. i´m not big on Soda but can´t seem to say no to Sprite or lemonades.
ReplyDeleteHollandia for the win :)
DeleteMango juice ain't bad but it doesn't trip me like that.
I really like Cloudy Lemonade but haven't found the perfect one in Lagos yet
Errm...In no particular order, Coke, 7up free, Mirinda Pineapple, Chapman and H2Oh
ReplyDeleteNice, we have 2 drinks in common :)
DeleteIs H2Oh just plain old water? or it's something else?
Uhmm H2oh is a sparkling water/low calorie drink. It has little calories unlike sodas. Just water and lemon with sweetener. U can find it at shoprite. *just helping*
DeleteOh, okay. Thanks for the explanation Elizabeth, I've seen it on the road a couple of times but I've just never tried it out. I'll do so soon :)
DeleteFunny thing, I like Mirinda pineapple with yam and sweet potatoes. U try it...eat a till u feel a lil tightening around ur throat and then do d literal 'washing down'. It swell...I tell u. BTW Tuke...I think I know you.
ReplyDeleteWow, Nawa for combination o!! yam and sweet potatoes at the same time. Sounds like a very hefty and filling dish. Lol, you do, then reveal your identity Mr/Mrs/Miss Anonymous and we'll find out.
DeleteI'm not a fan of soda drinks but I love Chapman. Can't av enough of it. I love yoghurts too. Hollandia strawberry, nutrimilk and fresh yo. U shud try Fresh yo. Itz lovely. Well I'm nt being a child but I still take my Caprisonne *wide grin*. Always there wen I nid it
ReplyDeleteChapman all day, every day. I Don't think I can ever get tired of it. I haven't tried Nutrimilk or Fresh yo or bobo sef and my brother takes it to school o! Lol, Capri-sonne never lets one down sha but I haven't bought it in a while, Strawberry is my favourite flavour :)
DeleteLOL, Share it's throne? Tola, really? Is it that deep? hehehe
ReplyDeleteSmoov is weird. It's like fizzy chapman. Someone I know loved it. I'd rather drink regular chapman.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I really want to try it. Any idea where it's being sold?
DeleteI am a cola kind of girl...Coke or Pepsi to be specific.....
