Protective Style: Box Braids

It's the Weekend :)

I've got a lot planned for it, hope yours is enjoyable too.

I got braids done on Wednesday, an interesting mix of colours, guess what 3 colours I used!!

This should have been an outfit post but most of the full length pictures came out blurry (Thumbs Down)
This look is really simple though, plain black chiffon top from H and M which I rocked here, my day out with Gbemi.
An Orange Pencil Skirt from Topshop!
My Trusty Zara Heels from Kampke.com.
Pearls from my House, C'est fini!
I know I'm going to have a lot of fun with these braids, haven't got box braids done since last summer. My last protective style was crotchet braids. When I had box braids last, I rocked the hair in a bun, with a fascinator, to an engagement and with a flower crown :)
The following pictures were taken in my house with my external flash which I got off my wishlist :) Doesn't it make such a difference?
It's easier to see the colours in my hair now, guess guess guess away :)
I've got the LA Girls Flat Finish Pigment Gloss (from here) in Backstage & Secret on my lips :)
I lined my lips with my Tara Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown, very roughly though :)

  5. Girl! Your box broads are beautiful! They suit you so well! Nigerians always make the best box braids. They really aren't done that well anywhere else! I think one of your colors is 1b. I'm not as familiar with the brown colors.

  16. Absolutely beautiful! I've been trying to think of ways to add subtle highlights to my hair as I usually just do my braids in colour 2. This has inspired me so much, thank you! :) but I have to know, what is the third colour? 2, 33, and? :D also, did they use equal amounts of the colours or was it more in a ratio of 3:2:1 because I can't really see the third colour very much

    1. Awwww, you're welcome :)
The last colour is colour 4, not sure of the ratio but she definitely used more of number 2.
