Weekend gist: Appreciating Life & My Second Vlog

Hey Guys!

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend!

Mine was interesting, filled with ups and downs.

My cousin, Oyinade, from this post, went back to Uni on Saturday so we had a cousin lunch/send off. We had a very bad experience at the Restaurant we went to, the worst customer service I've ever experienced in Lagos. I'll put up a Restaurant Review post with pictures on Wednesday, it was BAD!! Here's a Sneak Peek of what I got, you might be able to guess the Restaurant.

My uncle passed away on Saturday night from cancer. Less than 4 weeks ago, my youth pastor passed away because of Cancer. Please take your health seriously, go for check ups, know your body so you understand when something is odd. I know Berry Dakara once did a series on Breast cancer so check out this post so you know how to check yourself.

I watched 12 years a slave on DSTV this weekend and I cried like a baby when it ended. Lupita's acting was on point and so was Chiwetel Ejiofor's. The movie evoked the same emotions in me as Selma did. I feel very grateful that I wasn't born in the days of slave trade and apartheid and that we have rights and some level of freedom.

The second vlog in the series is up :)

Check it out here! If you are new to the blog and you haven't watched the first one then you need to click here.

P.S. I'm going to be playing my Sax at Ted X Gbagada on the 19th of September. Click here to register as spaces are limited.

How was your weekend?
