Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the love in my last post, I really appreciate it and look forward to all the exploits we will make in 2017.
If you watch my Insta Stories, you would know I had Brunch at La Brioche a couple of weeks ago.
I went with my cousin, Oyinade, who took the pictures in this post.
I first heard of La Brioche in 2015 when I got invited to a Champagne Party at the cutest parisienne-style pastry shop ever.
I put a picture of the IV and package it came with on Instagram, check it out here. I wrote about the experience here and visited them a number of times last year to order mini pastries for work meetings.
I really wanted to take Sharon there when she visited Lagos but sadly they were closed for fumigation, shout out to them for maintaining health and safety standards though.
She got watermelon and I got pineapple.
The drinks were refreshing and the consistency was perfect, like a slushy.
I love how the tables are laid so perfectly with beautiful china and gold cutlery.
We started off with a Meat Pie and a Chicken Pie.
It came in a rustic wooden tray with pretty pink napkins.
I always get a Meat Pie & Chicken Pie when I go to La Brioche, they are so delicious and well made with a nicely seasoned filling.
If you're having a party and need canapé's different from the norm, you should definitely order their mini meat pies and chicken pies.
The lady attending to us said we must try their flourless cake which is made from almonds.
It looked like chocolate cake and was very decadent, you need to try it.
The whipped cream and cherry on top went so nicely with it.
I got the Brioche french toast with a Berry Salad and Maple Syrup.
I got the Brioche french toast with a Berry Salad and Maple Syrup.
It costs N2,200 and is well worth the money
The Berries were so fresh, jeez.
The French toast was just the way I like it, not too soggy, not too eggy, just right.
My cousin got the Lobster Benedict which came with Lobster, Poached Egg & Hollandaise Sauce on Brioche Bread.
Doesn't it look beautiful.
She absolutely enjoyed it and found it very filling.
It cost N3,250.
They also offer the Crab Benedict which costs N2,550
They have a wide variety of tea's available.
They sell Freshly made Bread too.
The Baguette was calling my name but I was too full to give it a try.
Their tarts are so pretty.
I love food that isn't only great to photograph but great tasting too.
Don't you just want to taste that Lemon tart?
The criss cross is so perfect.
You can tell that a lot of time, effort and love goes into making their pastries.
They have coffee cake and carrot muffins, French Orange Cake & Mini Loaves too.
They had Christmas Cakes on Display as we went there just before Christmas.
La Brioche is one of those hidden treasures that make you feel like you aren't in Lagos.
From the Decor to the ambiance, the customer service and the menu offerings, everything is top-notch.
Have you been to La Brioche before? What was your experience like?
If you're planning a Bridal Shower or Tea Party, make sure you stop by at La Brioche and tell them you're a friend of Tuke.
It is located at Number 22B Musa Yar'Adua Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
You can reach them on 01- 2951299, 01-2951543 and 08188421861 for party orders and corporate bookings.
They serve sandwiches, croissants, pancakes, waffles, salmon, salads, oatmeal, granola and other delicious goodies so give them a try and let me know what you think.

Yes! La Brioche for the win! Went in for a lunch date sometime last year, very yummy pastries. Btw your food photography is so clutch!!! Making me crave lol. Quick question: Blogging for newbies (e.g Me) Do you ask before you photograph at a restaurant? I always feel cautious, so I usually use my phone. But I want to take good pictures with my camera uggh. Advice pleeeassse
ReplyDeleteAwww, I love your positive review of it.
DeleteThank you :)
That's the whole idea!
I never ask before I take pictures of my food o, I've paid for it so can do as I like.
I went to one restaurant in England where some of the other diners didn't want their pictures taken but I make a note to not have people in my shots when I'm taking pictures of the decor.
The lobster benedict looks absolute yummy. Adding this to my list of places to visit when next I am in Lagos.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin thought it tasted absolutely yummy too.
DeleteAwww, nice, let me know what you think of it when you try it out!
...and yes, the food photography is amazing. The pictures look so professional.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, Thank you :)
