My Printivo Experience | Tuke's Quest

My Printivo Experience

Hey Guys!

Hope you've had a great week, Whoohoo, it's the weekend.

If you follow me on Instagram you would know I received my business cards earlier on in the week, if you don't follow me... what are you waiting for though? My handle is @tukemorgan. The Kinky Apothecary is hosting a giveaway in collaboration with me once I hit 1,000 followers so follow me so you're kept informed (Hint hint: We'll be giving away Shea Moisture goodies so Naturalistas and ladies on Healthy Hair Journey's, this one is for you *wink*)
Anyways, back to the topic at hand, for the past 2-3 weeks people have been asking for my Business Card every weekend and I didn't have any. They asked at Yagazie Emezie's Lunch series, at someone's proposal where I serenaded the proposee with my sax, at an event called food, fun and business and other random places. I once read a blogpost on Sisi Yemmie's blog about business cards so I decided to order from the company she got hers from, Prinitivo.

I wanted a photo card like her's so when you see the card you remember the face. I also wanted something pretty quirky too as I am a creative hence the fun fonts.

I chose that picture because it's pretty memorable/distinct and many people who met me through social media think of that picture when they think of me.

The colours of my blog at the moment are yellow and orange (I Love how bright they are and I feel citrusy colours go well with my skin tone even though a reader once said red is my colour. I have worn a lot of red on the outfit posts on this blog to be honest: 1, 2, 3 and 4)

So, I'll walk you through the process, I wanted 2 sided Business cards. I also wanted them to be Picture Cards. I chose my preferred Graphic Design from their website, uploaded my picture, edited the font and colours then approved the design. I called them up to say I wanted the pattern at the bottom to be a different colour. They sent me samples and I did quite a bit of trying out and changing my mind. The person I was in contact with, Deji was extremely patient and I have to say the customer service was spectacular.

I only ordered 100 as a test run and so I could see the quality of the cards...10/10
One of my friend's who is an MC was like 100 is nothing, he would finish 100 cards at a wedding but I'm starting small.

Ebun and Ayo commented on Instagram that I should buy the domain name for Tukes Quest or Tuke Morgan. I bought both in case I ever wanted to move from Blogspot. Well, Busayo/Linguini, Photographer Extraordinnaire bought them for me because he is a technology whizz and he got coupons which caused the total to amount to $6 instead of $20, Yayyyy :)

Let me know your thoughts and if you think I can make them better in any way.
Do you have business cards?
Have they opened doors for you? / Has any thing significant happened because you have business cards?
Do let me know in the comment box below, you know I Love reader interaction. :)

Oh, yeah, there's a really cool event happening next week. It's organised by GT Bank and it's the finale of the She Leads Africa Competition. I think it'll be very enlightening and extremely useful for budding entrepreneurs so check it out :)

  3. Aww I love your biz cards! I almost got some earlier this year, I had them designed and everything but chickened out at the last minute because I felt I didn't need them. Also congrats on buying the domain name, I know it was a pretty big step to take for me! xx
