Tuke Morgan x Desire 1709

Hey Guys :)

Happy Hump Day!

Hope your week has been good, mine has been very interesting, I had a life changing discussion with Stephanie Obi yesterday, I'm super excited for my future now :) She offers a free 30 day Social Media Challenge so check it out and tag me in a post if you decide to get involved.

If you follow me on Instagram you would know that this lil ol blog is now a .com. Huuuuuge Shoutout to Linguini who bought me the domain and Desola of Dee Mako Blog who guided me through the process. Check out this website for the instructions.

So I met Toyosi, who owns Desire 1709 at Yagazie's event last year, I remember Mide blogged about it here. It was a really great day and I got to network and learn from some really interesting ladies. Wonder why I have no pictures/blog post about that event? It's because I used my camera to take the pictures in this post after church and I didn't realise I had drained the battery until I got to The Social Place at 4/5ish and my battery was dead, Rookie Mistake.

I had seen Desire 1709 on Instagram and it was nice to meet the owner. I wanted one of them gold plated Kim K kinda belts and she helped me source one. I stopped by her store to pick it up one Wednesday after CDS and we ended up gisting for like 3 to 4 hours. She gave me great advice, I played with her son, Desire and she bought me one delicious Jollof rice from a Buka near her store.

I was pretty excited when she messaged me about the Blogger collaboration. She has got different styles of Crop Top sets on sale so instead of going for N8,000, they are now N5,600. I chose this one because I wanted something with sleeves that wouldn't show too much skin plus white is such a classic colour (you can never have too many white items in your closet). This particular style comes in Black and Cobalt Blue so those of you who liked my Cobalt Co-ordinates post should hurry to her shop and get one quick before it sells out.

After taking the first few shots, I took a look at the pictures and realised that the bare neck wasn't cutting it so I decided to add a necklace
I looked at the pictures again and felt my hair needed to provide the pop of colour so I added this cute little bow from Aima's, like the one in this post.
I dropped the necklace when I put in the bow as I felt it would be too much but looking at the pictures now, I can tell you it would have worked nicely. So which do you prefer, with the bow, with the necklace or plain?
Fun Fact: I wore this outfit for a picnic style shoot on Saturday and got the photographer (@orighomisan on Instagram) to take these pictures for me. He had a diffuser, reflector, external flash, many gadgets and gizmos sha, it was interesting to see how compact and portable all the gear was when he packed it up. The pictures were taken with my camera but he added the external flash and diffuser.

Hair Bow: Aima's (as seen here)
Crop Top: Desire 1709
Skirt: Desire 1709

Earrings: Arts and Crafts Market in Uganda
