Infinix Hot S Review

Hey Guys,

Happy New Month!

I'm looking forward to all the Great Things that will happen from now till the end of the year :)

We've got four months till the year ends, it's time to buckle up and try and achieve all those 2016 goals!
So this is a follow up to the unboxing post on the Infinix Hot S
I've used it for about 3 weeks now and I've shared pictures & videos taken with the phone on Instagram.
Now, it's time for a more comprehensive review.
The phone is super light, weighing only 140g.
It has been called a Lifestyle Phone by Infinix and I totally understand why.
Don't you just love all the inspiring quotes and beautiful images that show up on my screen each time the phone is locked.
The Magic Movie App is one of it's innovative features.
Check out a video I made with the app here.
The front camera is better than that of many other high end Smart Phones.
The fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone makes it easy to take awesome selfies.
I like the fact that the home screen lets you know which apps are using up a lot of energy.
As I have used an older infinix model, there are a couple of things I noticed that make the Hot S better than the Hot 2.
The Picture quality is better.
The light from the torchlight is white unlike the Hot 2's light which is Blue.
It comes with an FM app unlike the Hot 2 (I had to download the tune in Radio app to tune in to the radio)
The phone doesn't have many cons but the few I noticed are as follows.
There is a limit to the number of words you can write in each Note (a maximum of 1,500 characters)
The phone is dual sim but you use the second sim at the expense of a memory card :(
Thus, if you want to put in an SD card to supplement the 16gb internal storage and 2gb ram, you have to sacrifice the ability to use two sims in one phone.
That aside, the phone is awesome.
I will advice that you get a screen protector and phone case to prevent unnecessary scratches or cracks.
I love the fact that you can unlock the phone with a pattern or a tap on the fingerprint scanner at the back.
P.S. If your keyboard ever changes language and you don't know what to do.
Swipe the space bar left or right to change it back to english :)

  1. OMG I love the photos and quotes! I have those on my laptop, but it would be nice to see them on my phone.
