So I get a lot of goodies from Brands who are launching new products, launching a campaign and Brands who just want to show me love and appreciation.
I've gotten a number of nice packages over the past couple of weeks so thought to share what I got and give some items away.I was invited to the Dark & Lovely Au Naturale Meet and Greet which Deola Hosted.
We were all gifted these products to try out before the day, as well as a top, towel, note book and biro.
I've been Natural for over 6 years and I've tried out quite a number of products during this journey.
Out of all the products I tried from this line, the Knot Out conditioner is my favourite.
The plaiting pudding cream comes a close second, I found it more moisturising than the moisturising butter.
I moisturise and seal my hair using the LOC Method and discovered that my hair retains more moisture when I seal with my whipped shea butter than when I seal with the Au Naturale Butter.
The products have a nice sweet smell and a semi-thick and gooey consistency.Check out this link for more information on the products and how they can be used.
The shampoo and conditioner retail for N1,500 while the plaiting pudding and moisturising butter retail for N1,700. You can find these products at Spar, Shoprite, Grand Square and Justrite.
Have you tried any products from this line before? If yes, what did you think of them?
ARAMI ESSENTIALS
I took part in a campaign for Arami and was gifted 3 products of my choice. The Onyx Body Polish & Glow Oil are my favourite.
I like the smell of the Body & Hair Food which is whipped shea butter but I'm not crazy about the texture. I prefer the texture of the Kinky Apothecary Shea Batter which I spoke about here.
Arami's Whipped Shea Butter comes in different flavours: Vanilla & Lemongrass. Visit their website here to order.
The Onyx Body Polish is their own version of Black Soap, it smells Divine & is mixed with products like Honey, Lemon, Olive Oil & Rose water. I love it and use it on my body and face.
The Glow Oil is shea oil that is very moisturising. I usually use lotions or creams for my body but I've been switching it up and using the glow oil. Are you more of an oil person or a cream person when it comes to moisturising your body?
TAOS COSMETICS
Taos is one Brand I love. I'm really impressed by all the owner has done since inception and it's even more inspiring because she is my age.
I got 5 Lip products, a face mask, a bottle of honey and a highlighter palette.
I gifted my sister the honey because she makes a lot of DIY Products. I will be using the face mask and I'm quite excited to try it. I tried out a Bentonite clay X Apple Cider Vinegar Mix on my hair and face last week and I loved the results, skin so supple.
I got 3 liquid velvetines/lipsticks and 2 lip glasses.
I already have lulua (the vibrant purple one) and tripoli (the nude one) so I will be giving those two away, the winner will be chosen next week.
I really love the highlighter palette. The multi purpose highlighters can also be used as eyeshadows.
If you would like to win Tripoli or Lulua, leave a comment with your email address & instagram handle saying which one you want to win and why.
Make sure you are subscribed to the blog and are following myself, dark and lovely africa, arami essentials and taos_inc on Instagram.
P.S. A pick up venue will have to be arranged, no delivery o!
