Weekend Gist: Femi Leye's Album Launch & #FindYourVelvet | Tuke's Quest

Weekend Gist: Femi Leye's Album Launch & #FindYourVelvet

Hey Guys, TGIF!

This is the weekend gist I owe you from the Sallah Weekend :)

That was the week of the She Hive and the Prayer Conference at my church where I ministered, video here:)

So, on Saturday I went for Dolce & Gabbana's perfume launch at the palms

It was nice seeing my other blogger friends, Mide Coker (who is finally done with Law School), Cassie Daves (the tallest of the Bunch), Tosin Alabi (who blogs at Africanism Cosmopolitan). I went to Smokey Bones with her and some other friends a couple of weeks ago and we recorded 2 videos, the accent tag & the first time tag, Deola Adebiyi (Editor of Omoge Mura) and Oma Ehiri (Madam So Tectonic).
I took some pictures of the event but I didn't edit them
I got sent some pictures with the press release
I think it's interesting how every body sees things differently, like 2 pictures taken by different people at the same place can look so different.
The contents of the goody bag :)
Mascara, a Bracelet and a Man Bag
I gave the bracelet to my mum
I kept the Mascara for myself
Haven't used it yet sha but I like the Gold Pack
The Cupcakes were by Cookie Jar
 The Fragrances smelt really nice
Search for the hashtag #findyourvelvetnaija on Instagram & Twitter :)
 Isn't the packaging exquisite
I think this picture of the cupcakes would make a beautiful postcard
My Next stop was Femi Leye's album launch at Eko Hotel
He was the Music Director of the Play I was in last year, Band Aid.
He is a Super Talented Afro Jazz Guitarist, Vocalist, Producer & Composer
See the way people were dancing when he took to the stage
Even children were feeling the music, Peep me in the corner :)
He played without a Keyboardist but you would have never noticed because the music sounded sooo full
That's Nayosoul with the big hair & Aramide in the red top, they are both very talented Soul/Jazz singers.
His Mum & Dad looked sooo cute in their matching Trad.
I'm sure they felt so proud of their son
That's Falana on the guitar, she played the Cajon too.
I was really impressed with the turnout & support he got
 Dija was there

Korede Bello too

And Mr  Reekado Banks
That's Tosin Greg, A Drummer and amazing singer
Follow Femi Leye on Instagram & Twitter.
The tour for his Ekaabo Album starts next week, you can buy the album on Itunes or Spinlet & listen to a snippet of it there too:)

Have a Great Weekend!
Remember, Glowreeyah's concert/album launch is happening this weekend & I'll be playing the Sax with some amazing musicians :D
