Polka Dot Party in my Twenty Six Skirt

Hey Guys!

Awon outfit post lovers, Ba wo ni? So wa pa? Ise nko? Aye nko?
My Yoruba isn't the best but at least I understand and I try small small.
Oh yeah, the translation of the words above = How are you? Are you good? How's Work? How's Life?

I Love this Polka Dot skirt and there is a story behind it, GIST TIME!

So one day, I was on Instagram when Cassie Daves put a picture of a package she had received from @twentysix.co, I loved the packaging and quickly rushed to check out their page, I had been searching for a Black Midi skirt for a while so sharply added them on bbm to discuss. There was a bit of a mix up with my order and I ended up getting this polka dot print. Desola, the owner offered to change it but I loved it so much that I kept it even though it wasn't my initial desire.
The skirt came wrapped in brown paper

The material is so thick and rich, the pictures don't do it justice. Look how Cassie rocked hers here. Hers seems slightly shorter than mine, but I'm sure she's way taller, we haven't met yet but we probably will soon.

I wore this outfit two Saturdays ago and I ended up going for Lagos Fashion and Design week, Thanks for the free ticket Harira!!! I got there quite late as I already made plans for that day, she told me she got a ticket on Saturday Morning and I couldn't really cancel the plans I had already made. I didn't get to network which sucks but I'm glad I got to experience the event. I had my camera with me but I didn't bother taking any pictures of the runway.

I just read two articles by the style hq that would have probably helped me in terms of preparation if I had read them before the show. Anyhoo, I'll be better prepared next time. Articles here and here.
I didn't network in any way, shape, size or form. I got there as Mai's show was ending. I could have left and just been strutting on the green carpet so i'll get papped but I wanted to enjoy the runway experience as it was my first time attending an actual fashion week.

The only fashion shows I've attended were the ones at Uni and Echo. I haven't even been for Music Meets Runway before. I'll rather spend that 25k for vip on other things. who knows? maybe next year, I'll be one of the music acts. They've started selling tickets already sha and you get 20% off if you buy yours this month, more details here. I've decided I want to take Sax more seriously by the way, shall share some sax related good news very soon.

By the way. my hair has reverted back to it's nappy state, I will do an update post in the next few days. These pictures were taken on Day 21, and the clips/side combs in my hair are the ones from this post. Can't wait for the next Natural Hair event on the 22nd of November, so I can get some more.

Hope to see you all there o!

Oh, yeah, shout out to Chidinma who tweeted the sweetest words to me yesterday, she made my day :)
