Weekend Gist: 200k & Stepping Out of the Box

Hey Guys :)

Happy Monday!!!

Do you know the Blog hit 200,000 views on Friday *dancing dancing dancing*. I shared the picture below on my Social Media Platforms with the caption "Woke up to 200K so I #Shoki
😊😊💃💃#FeelingGrateful ðŸŽ‰ðŸŽ‰"

Some people thought I meant N200,000 and I found it funny that they didn't look at the picture properly. I found it odd that they thought I will announce credit alerts to the world, never ever poss.

Anyways, Guess where I'm blogging from?? It starts with an A and ends with an A, that's right, Abuja!

I'm here for a conference with my dad and the first day has proven that it's going to be a totally different experience from my previous trips to Abuja.  If you haven't read my Abuja Chronicles before, kindly catch up on the First, Second and Third Volumes and check out my Adventures in Abuja post too.

It's the last day of August, Boyyy, has this year flown by? We enter the Ember Months tomorrow and I pray they are better than all the previous months combined.

So I've been doing weekend gist for a couple of weeks now and I was just wondering what you guys think of it. What do you think of the vlogs too? The First one got the most views followed by the second then the third then the fifth one got more views than the fourth. So in Mathematical terms 1>2>3>5>4. Do you know that if you click on words that are coloured pink it takes you to the page I'm referring to?

I spent some time at the hospital this weekend because my brother wasn't feeling too well. It isn't easy to be a Mummy o. Better appreciate your parents and show them love, they try!

I spoke about Natural Hair on Friday at Unilag. I put a picture of the flyer on Instagram and it was a great event. I hadn't thought of speaking with a powerpoint presentation until the night before the event and I'm glad I was able to put one together within 2 hours as pictures greatly help to illustrate a point. I will update this post with pictures from the event once I get them.

I MC'd a gospel event on Sunday and it was an interesting experience. Let's just say I didn't offer myself to be the Co-MC but I was chosen and I had no choice but to do it. It was quite fun and I got a lot of compliments :) With anything, the more times I do it, the better I will get at it.

Oh yeah, I put a video of me playing a Woman's need by Praiz on youtube, check it out here.

  6. Congrats on your blog stats. I was supposed to be at that Friday event, but I wasn't comfy with the way they portrayed it to me. How come you spoke at the event, and I still saw you on the Island that same afternoon? You must be a superwoman..

    1. Awwww, Thank you Enkay! You should definitely make the most of it, my schedule is always packed when I go there so I haven't been able to explore it the way I want to yet. Check out my Abuja chronicles series to see some cool places I visited. Nasarawa and Niger state aren't far from Abuja either so if you have time you can kill 3 birds with 1 stone.
