Weekend Gist: Sandwiches, Strategy & Solitude

Hey Guys

How has your week been?

How was your weekend? Mine was really restful, the most quiet weekend I've had in a while.

I wasn't feeling too strong after work on friday and the traffic was terrible so I met up with my dad who wasn't far from the office and went home in his car so I didn't have to drive. Picked up my car the next day and I'm glad I did that because the traffic when I left work was Terrible. Lagos traffic can be so unpredictable sometimes but I like to plan my days so I spend as little time in traffic as possible.

I spent Saturday at home, watched 2 movies and bonded with my family. I've been thinking about my life and what I want to achieve this year so I made some decisions which would help me achieve certain goals.

On Sunday, I went to church then came home and read a book, I've finished 4 books from this stack :)

I took no pictures this weekend so I'm going to share the pictures I took on Thursday. After reading Berry's post on the Honey Pepper Chicken Sandwich, I was eager to try it.

I bought a whole smoked chicken for N1,500 and cut a leg into pieces.

Followed the steps in Berry's post and it was delicious.

I made the sandwich with 3 different types of pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Dry pepper and suya pepper.

I can't remember which one tasted better as they all tasted sooo good.

It's a miracle I managed to take these pictures before chowing down the Sandwiches

My brother said Lettuce looks like Shredded Green Paper, hehe

He really enjoyed the Sandwich and had one for breakfast the next day.

I decided to rest this weekend because it's that time of the month so energy levels are low.

Also, body no be firewood so find time to rest before you burnout :)

    1. Not long atall, 10 minutes max!
Ensure you put the fire on medium heat so the chicken doesn't burn

  8. Looks really yum and very easy to make. I only realised when cleaning out a part of the house that I have had a sandwich maker all the while. I will try this by the weekend or the next one.
