Fun times with Sharon

Hey Guys,

So remember how I said I got up to fun stuff in this post. That fun stuff was hanging out with one of my favourite bloggers, Sharon of This is Ess.

Pamilerin Gal on Twitter notified me that Sharon was coming to Lagos so I sent her a mail asking if she would like to collaborate. She was interested in trying out cafes in Lagos and I wanted us to have a mini shoot. We ended up doing both in a really limited amount of time.
I picked her up on a rainy saturday morning and then our journey began, this is my little happy dance :D
My friend, Busayo, who took the pictures in this postthis post and this post was our driver and photographer for the day. Thank you Linguini :)
Our first stop was the Art Cafe, however they weren't open yet as the heavy rain caused Lagos to open later than usual.
We went to Petit Paris in Lekki next, I would have taken her to La Brioche which is a really cute Parisian cafe in VI. However, they were closed for fumigation.
There was no light at Petit Paris when we got there and the waiter said it would take 25 minutes for food to be ready so we just took a few pictures and headed to vi. I had been to Petit Paris's old location once before and you can check out my review of it here.
We visited Cafe Neo on Akin Adesola. The windows were dark which gave us the illusion that they weren't open but they were open and they had been open since 7. One of the few Cafe's that stick to their opening time no matter what.
Cafe Neo was a welcome relief to Petit Paris which was cold and wet. I had a Hot Chocolate, Sharon had a Latte and Busayo had a Macchiato or maybe Busayo had a Latte and Sharon had a Macchiato. I'm not sure but I remember she had a slice of cake too.
I really like Cafe Neo's branding and marketing strategy. The Blogger Valentine Edit I was a part of happened at their branch on Agoro Adiyan and so did the She Hive.
My first Cafe Neo experience was at their White space branch, check out that post here. I like the fact that they are consistent and growing rapidly.
From Cafe Neo, we went back to Art Cafe where Sharon was amazed. We had our mini shoot there and you can see some of the pictures in Sharon's post on it :) She recorded some of it for her vlog so watch out for that! The owner was super nice, friendly and welcoming once he knew what we were doing so shout out to him!
I had a chicken Suya Toastie which was really interesting.
Sharon got some Green tea and was surprised that she got a full pot instead of just a mug.
From Art Cafe we stopped by at Alara where Sharon was in awe, hehehe. Alara is a really unique store, sadly we weren't allowed to take pictures of the store. However, we took some pictures in the Cafe.
They stock Indigenous and International Designer pieces and items are sold in dollars.
They've got a quirky afrocentric garden and a cafe at the back which doesn't open till 6pm.
This was our last stop for the morning as Sharon had a very tight itinerary and she was only in Lagos for 48 hours.
Hope you enjoyed this post!
What are your favourite cafe's in Lagos?
What do you think of our little Cafe tour?
There were loads of other cafes on my list like Delis, Hard Rock and Crust & Cream, maybe next time she is in town :)

  2. Wow! This is one post I did not wish to see the end! So inviting and engaging. And Sharon is beautiful!

Did not realise we had this many café's in Lagos!

Hmm @Alara and ONLY dollars. (Isn't there a law/policy against that?)

You looked amazing Tukess. I certainly enjoyed this. Unfortunately, I have only tried err NONE. lol. Coffee and tea, not really my gig and when I do, it's cos it's raining and i'd rather do so in the comfort of my home. In the spirit of new adventures, this has been bookmarked.

Can you tell I really enjoyed this post? lol.

Still eyeing your anniversary giveaway. <_<.

Cafe Neo has 2 branches in ikoyi, 3 branches in VI and some others that I don't know.
I linked most of them to a website or IG page that has their address sha.
