Weekend Gist: Redeemed Camp & Muson Centre

Hey Guys,

How is your week going? Is the exchange rate affecting you?

My weekend was interesting, I got an impromptu call on Friday to provide music at a spot in Ikoyi, I have mixed feelings about impromptu gigs to be honest.
I managed to organise my band in a couple of hours and we delivered :)
On Saturday, I put the finishing touches on a project I've been working on for a while, can't wait to reveal it.
I went to BLD by play in the evening for a friend's Birthday dinner.
I wasn't sure what to expect from a N2,500 buffet but you'll know my thoughts when I write out a review post on it.
On Sunday, I played at Redeemed Camp in the afternoon. Daddy GO & Mummy GO were there so it was a pretty big deal :)
From Camp I went to Muson Centre for the 60th Anniversary concert of the Federal Nigerian Society for the Blind
Cobhams played and sang and so did the Igbobi College choir. It was my first time seeing their uniform and I'm glad I did. Remember I played their school song in this post so I could relate to some of the chants they were shouting.
I had to cover my head to play at camp but I let my fro out at muson.
I've been investing in Maxi Dresses with sleeves.
I bought this one at Mente De Moda, same place I bought the black dress in this post.
It's nice playing to an audience that appreciates your music, they clapped along and sang along too.
It's even nicer when you have clients that constantly recommend you to provide music at events.
The Executive members of the NGO went on stage to sing We are the world.
All the solo performers sang along too with the choir of the NGO's Vocational Training Centre.
Cobhams played the keyboard and led the verses.
I wasn't able to get a picture with him but I always enjoy his live performances.

Hope your week is going well.

Don't forget to tell someone about the chance to win a Dental Makeover.

Massive Shout Out to my Best Friend who came for all the gigs, drove me to camp, took my pictures and dealt with my stress, You Rock and I really appreciate your help :D

  2. Great job Tooks! Investing in those dresses is a very good idea. It's so nice that you can translate your talent/gift into a paid gig.

    1. Thank you Berry!
It really is a good idea and I haven't had to spend too much on them.
Yeah, it is nice that I'm able to make money from my talent. There are some people who don't value services and like to price unecessarily but I'm learning to say no to opportunities that don't benefit me :)
